One Day for Western is an opportunity for you to show your support and commitment to the College of Business. Your gifts will help provide critical funding to support a variety of initiatives within the College, including:
- College of Business Dean's Fund - specifically support for Student Competitions and Internship Assistance, and support for Student International Travel
- Ken Flynt Scholarship Fund
Please check the updates section below to read about these priorities and join us on One Day for Western to make a direct impact on our students and their experience at WCU. Our goal is for 75 donors to make a gift on March 29, but we can only get there with your help!
Thank you for being part of our very first One Day for Western! Check out this thank you video to hear from our campus community how much we appreciate your support. Go Cats!

Catamounts, you never cease to amaze me. The way you showed up to make one day possible was inspirational, especially in our inaugural year of this all-in giving day!
The initial numbers are in, and we are excited to share that 1,058 donors contributed over $260,000 on One Day for Western. And we're still counting. These gifts will enable amazing projects to materialize, life-changing trips to be taken, and critical programs to continue their good work throughout our community—and it’s all because of your generosity. We cannot wait to share these impact stories with you over the next several months so you can see your investment in action.
Thank you to everyone who gave, shared, or elevated our message on One Day for Western. We are beyond grateful for your support.
Go Cats!
Thankfully,

The College of Business is focused on producing business-ready graduates, which includes providing enriching learning experiences for students both in and out of the classroom.
Funding is needed to ensure students can attend out-of-classroom experiences including the Southern Conference Entrepreneurship Challenge, TVA Investment Challenge, mock trial competitions, and case study competitions.
These experiences shape our students in myriad ways and will equip them with competitive advantages as they begin business careers. Your support helps cover critical expenses like registration fees and travel costs - can we count on you to help our students on One Day for Western?

Ken Flynt taught Finance classes and served as the College of Business' Associate Dean for Advancement and External Engagement for more than 10 years. Students remember him most for his tireless efforts to help them secure internships in the banking industry.
Ken's spirit and service have been gifts to WCU. What better way to make an impact on One Day for Western than to give to a fund established in his honor?
