At ORSP, we:
• Provide resources and assistance for grant proposal development.
• Provide faculty and student research opportunities and collaboration.
• Manage and monitor research and creative activity compliance.
• Support the formation of faculty interdisciplinary teams.
• Support the development of intellectual property.
• Support the integration of research and creative activity into coursework.
Students who participate in the high-impact practice of research and scholarship:
• Are more satisfied with their college experience;
• Are retained, persist and graduate at a higher rate;
• Are more likely to be accepted to graduate and professional school;
• Are more competitive when searching for jobs.
Our goal is to provide EVERY interested student with an opportunity to engage in research at WCU.
