Interdisciplinary Border Project

16% of $5,000 goal
This campaign ended on March 14, 2023, but you can still make a gift to Webster University by clicking here!

For the past five years, Webster University Nursing, Legal Studies and Spanish faculty and students have traveled to the Texas-Mexico border to contribute their expertise and assist in humanitarian efforts. In past years, the group has teamed up with ARISE Adelante, a community-based program in Texas that works with families to strengthen their communities, identifying life goals and providing resources to help families reach those goals independently. The Webster University team helps any way they can, some years by assisting migrant processing, serving food and providing shoes to migrants who in some cases have made dangerous journeys through multiple countries to reach the safety of the U.S. border. Whatever the greatest need is, this Webster team finds a way to help.

This spring, ten Webster University faculty and students will once again make the trip to the Texas-Mexico border to provide relief. To help them get there, we are raising funds for the students’ airfare (otherwise an approximate 20-hour drive), three nights of lodging, and to cover meal costs.

With more than 30,000 migrants legally entering the U.S. each month, the Interdisciplinary Border Project is more important than ever. Please consider a gift to help us reach our $5,000 goal and ensure that migrants are receiving the support they so desperately need. Your contribution of any amount to help us reach our goal will be immensely appreciated by faculty and students, but also migrants who need our help.

Thank you for your support!
