About

Anthony S. Vergot (Technical Director Alumni, 1997) was born in southwest Michigan, where he grew up on his family’s farm. There, he gained an incredible work ethic that showed in his time at Webster and throughout his career. After graduating from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts, he went on to work for some of the biggest shows and companies in the business – Disney, Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, City Neon, and Victory Hill Entertainment to name a few. Despite his growing responsibilities and world travels, Anthony loved to help young people get their start in the entertainment industry. He spoke to groups of students at Webster, and was a mentor to many more. His gift for treating everyone as equals, his generosity in sharing his knowledge, his inside jokes and his tremendous heart made him fast friends around the world and he was dearly loved by many. This scholarship is created in honor of Anthony for his spirit of Mentorship to live on by providing students the opportunity to follow in his footsteps.

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $70,000 to create an endowed scholarship fund in Anthony's name/memory. At this level, this scholarship, once fully established, will produce an annual distribution amount of $3,000+ in perpetuity--a meaningful and impactful award. Webster's endowed spending policy is designed to preserve the corpus and grow over the years to provide additional support to help even more students.
