Music Abroad from Castleton: Puerto Rico

Vermont State University Castleton choir students have the incredible opportunity to travel to Puerto Rico for nine days from May 18 to 26, 2025.

During the spring semester, students are preparing a performance program of North American choral music and studying Puerto Rican culture and music. The group will travel to Puerto Rico through Music Contact International in May. In Puerto Rico, students will have the opportunity to perform in theaters, churches, and other venues in San Jose, Mayaguez, and Ponce; collaborate with Puerto Rican choirs and musicians; participate in music workshops; and be able to visit many well-known historical and cultural sights. In addition, they will visit elementary schools to work with students and participate in a community service project. 

This will be a life-changing experience for many students! 

The cost per student is $3,100 plus travel insurance. All funds raised will offset the price of the tour for students.
