Each year, the Castleton Senior Class donates a class gift to be displayed on the Castleton campus. The Senior Class of 2025 officers decided that we want the Class of 2025 gift to be unique, impactful, and memorable. Thus, after much brainstorming, we have decided to engage our community in a campaign to fund a statue of the beloved Castleton mascot, Sparty. #SpartyStatue
We aim to raise $8,500 to bring the #SpartyStatue to life on the Castleton campus. After collaborating with artist Cody Stosz and his business, Kodiak Carving, we received the sketch above, which illustrates the incredible image that will be shown outside Dave Wolk Stadium.
If you are an alumni, community member, faculty, or staff member, we hope that the Spartan mascot will symbolize the power of the tight-knit community on our campus. Dear Castleton Alumni, Faculty, Students, Staff, Community Members, and Friends,
We are just 10 days away from the Class of 2025's graduation from VTSU Castleton! As we count down the days leading up to commencement, we have some exciting news to share.
First off, I want to extend my utmost gratitude to each of you for your support towards our campaign. After 98 donors, we officially raised $$8,690, and surpassed our goal of $8,500 to officially fund the Sparty Statue project. We couldn't have done it without your support. I would like to especially recognize the donors who got us over our goal with a donation of $1,500 from Lyn and Dave Wolk. We are so grateful for their support throughout the campaign.
Now for the big news: the Sparty Statue is almost here! The statue will officially be unveiled this upcoming Monday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at Dave Wolk Stadium. We formally invite all supporters of the project to attend the unveiling event and get the opportunity to see Sparty come to life for the first time!

Dear Castleton Alumni, Faculty, Students, Staff, Community Members, and Friends,
THANK YOU! Your support has been incredible thus far, and we are so grateful that we've seen this high level of engagement from supporters throughout the past ten days during our campaign to be the first-ever Senior Class at Castleton to fundraise enough money to fully fund our class gift. How special that would be!
As of this update, we are $2,440 shy of our total goal of $8,500. Throughout these next few days, please continue to share our campaign and help us reach the finish line. We are closing in each day, and I know the Spartan faithful will come through to help us reach our goal.
