A special shout out to the Classes of 1953 and 1999! The adage that the early bird catches the worm holds true here! Class Representatives George Welles ’53, Dick Shanaman ’53, Andy Tyson ’99, and Katherine Dawes ’99 have done a fantastic job at encouraging their classmates to join them in supporting Vermont Academy. Way to go!
Our student Wildcats also helped us to start the day strong! They joined us for donuts by the Vermont Academy seal on Long Walk. There is a matching gift challenge in place for the Class of 2021 and we are excited to see their participation in this giving day as they count down their time on campus and get ready to become alumni.
Finally, congratulations to Ollie McArdle ’94 for winning our first One Day for VA prize – a Vermont Academy luggage tag. We hope he will enjoy some fun travels in the not so distant future. We will be doing another random drawing shortly.
