The Sustainability Coalition here on the University of Wyoming campus focuses on sustainable practices such as recycling, food waste and security, climate action, and more.
We are a unique group comprised of four interns, two senior co-leaders, and two junior co-leaders. These interns take on many different roles, such as leading and planning the sustainability club, managing campus projects, and administering campus-wide events.
We meet biweekly and engage students with sustainable practices. Projects on campus include a 24/7 active clothing drive, collaboration with the food pantry, greenhouse gas emissions reports, and more. Campus-wide events have historically included Solar Fest—a concert powered by a solar trailer—and an Earth Day Scavenger Hunt—where teams are educated about sustainability resources on campus.
Your gift on Giving Day helps support our Sustainability Coalition interns, one on whom doubles as the Greenhouse Gas Emission Report intern. We would do this important work for free, and we thank you for your support!
