The Wyoming Natural Diversity Database (WYNDD) is the premier source of scientific information on the plants and animals of Wyoming, with emphasis on the rarest and most unique species.
Wyoming is home to a spectacular array of plants and animals, many of which are overlooked. Some occur nowhere else but in Wyoming. Species like Desert Yellowhead, Wyoming Pocket Gopher, and Western Glacier Stonefly are among many unsung Wyoming contributions to North Americaās biological diversity.
We believe that the best decisions regarding natural resources are made when everyone has current and comprehensive information. Our staff has a combined 130 years of experience researching Wyoming species and habitats, and our Information Services team delivers critical information to over 1,500 people in more than 500 organizations throughout the region. Stakeholders used our data resources 25,000 times in 2024. We want to top that in 2025!
Your donation will help the Wyoming Natural Diversity Database inform natural resource developers, managers, and conservationists. It will help us collect critical information on Wyoming species in the field and distribute it as widely as possible.
Thank you for supporting Wyomingās wonderful flora and fauna!
