Help us advance the Geringer Distinguished Lecture in GIS and Public Policy!
The Wyoming Geographic Information Science Center is excited to expand on our annual speaker event for students and the broader community. This event centers around the impact of geographic information systems on policymaking that supports public interests in all aspects of society—from public health and safety to agriculture, transportation, and land and water resource management.
This fund is in recognition of former Wyoming Governor Jim Geringer, a long-time champion of geospatial technology while in public office as a legislator and governor. He also advocated for it in the private sector as a senior director with ESRI and in his service as a member of the National Geospatial Advisory Council and for the Coalition of Geospatial Organizations.
We look forward to hosting the 2nd Annual Geringer Lecture at UW in spring 2025. Thank you for your support!
