The Power of 10 at the UW Geological Museum – Supporting student research and updating 10 of the museums most popular exhibits!
Wyoming has the best vertebrate fossil record in the United States, and the UW Geological Museum is one of the only museums in the world to exclusively feature Wyoming’s incredible and long-lived fossil record going back 2.5 billion years.
Although our displays feature incredible Wyoming fossils, many of them haven’t been updated in 10 years. This includes our most popular exhibits such as the Augmented Reality Sandbox, which is barely limping along and in need a new computer and projector system.
This year’s Giving Day Theme is The Power of 10. Please consider helping us update 10 of our most-beloved displays by supporting the production of new signs, fixing old signs, updating technology, and most importantly help us fund students to research and update information about our incredible Wyoming fossils. We anticipate each display will take a minimum of $1,000 to fix, repair, revamp, and research.
Thank you!
