The Wyoming Institute for Humanities Research strives to be an engine for producing interdisciplinary research in the humanities; a community for faculty, students, and the public; and a model of democratic education fit for our land-grant university.
Over the past year, we have worked harder than ever to fund, support, and promote humanities research. Our team has grown with a new full-time employee and our new project, the Democracy Laboratory. Now we need your help to continue our efforts. This Giving Day, please consider giving a donation to the Wyoming Institute for Humanities Research.
- Your Giving Day support will go directly to scholars, fellowships, and programs that support interdisciplinary humanities work.
- It will also fund speaker events and discussion groups that reach hundreds of viewers, both in and out of the state of Wyoming.
- It will also goes directly to the Democracy Laboratory, which seeks to empower students, faculty, and the public using interdisciplinary methods drawn from diverse disciplines, such as anthropology, art, cultural studies, geography, history, literature, philosophy, and political science in order to connect our communities and to strengthen the quality of our democracy.
This year, we have a donor challenge! Fifty donors unlocks $500 from Dr. Scott Henkel, director of Wyoming Institute for Humanities Research. If you donate any amount, be it $1 or $100 dollars, you can help us to meet this challenge. Everyone who donates will receive a free copy of a book and a personal thank you letter from Dr. Henkel. Every little bit helps our mission to be an engine for producing interdisciplinary research in the humanities.
Thank you for your gifts this year to the Wyoming Humanities Humanities Research!
