About

Thank you for your support of the Department of Theatre and Dance!

We are dedicated to preparing students for meaningful lives as artists, scholars, and educators by providing a rigorous, vibrant, creative, and academic environment. We promote artistic curiosity, exploration, innovation, experimentation, risk-taking, and cross discipline collaboration. We enrich the cultural life of Wyoming by staging a wide range of high-quality performances, workshops, conferences, and events that showcase our students, faculty, and guest artists’ talents and creative work. We bring the world of theatre and dance to Wyoming—and Wyoming to the world.

Your gift on UW Giving Day will support these two funds.

  • Theatre and Dance Discretionary Account: This account supports many projects throughout the year ranging from guest artists, sending students and faculty to conferences, classroom upgrades, and facilities improvement such as new lights, new scripts, new dance floor, and more. Your gift will also support student scholarships!
  • Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival: Celebrating our 28th year, the Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival offers professional-level training for dancers ages 13 to adult. This festival brings recognition to the University of Wyoming, attracts students to major in dance, and provides a late summer performance opportunity for the Laramie community.

Know that any contribution makes a difference! Thank you for your support!
