The world needs more cowboys and cowgirls—and our cowboys and cowgirls need you to join them in an effort to have a successful giving day!
UW Rodeo is one of the most successful and storied athletic traditions at the University of Wyoming. For over 80 years, students have participated in and competed for the University of Wyoming Rodeo program. During those 80 years, UW Rodeo has had a positive impact on young people and their path forward. UW Rodeo has a long list of successful alumni, and we are working hard to ensure that tradition continues for today’s UW Rodeo Cowboys and Cowgirls. We are proud to say that our former student-athletes have won six Team National Championship and over 20 individual National Championship.
Our 66 current Rodeo student-athletes have challenged each other to give back to their program on Giving Day, with an amount that symbolizes their individual graduation year. For example, the seniors who will graduate this next spring, May 2024, will be giving $20 dollars and 24 cents, $20.24, on Giving Day. Freshman will be donating $20.27, to support the UW Rodeo Program. The students will also be promoting Giving Day and asking friends and family to join them in giving. More, now than ever, the Western culture and values our student-athletes represent are needed in our crazy world. Help support UW Rodeo, and the student-athlete experience we provide our rodeo athletes.
This is an opportunity for you to directly impact students at the University of Wyoming. All of the money raised on Giving Day will go back to fund UW Rodeo scholarships, team travel expenses, purchasing high quality practice livestock, and new equipment for our Rodeo Program. All important elements of a high caliber college rodeo program.
We want to thank all of you who support our UW Rodeo student-athletes! Your investment and support in these young people is valued and appreciated by all of us.
