During UW’s 2023 Giving Day, I invite you to make a contribution to the President’s Impact Fund, to support our greatest resource – our students.
A student’s college years are a critical period in a young adult's life—marked by significant growth and exploration. Students are not only pursuing academic goals, but they are also developing their vision for their future, building new social connections, and often living independently for the first time. This period of change and uncertainty introduces a host of stressors—from academic pressures to financial concerns to social anxieties. Promoting good mental health is important because it lays the foundation for how our students cope with challenges, make decisions, and build resilience for future life events.
That’s why donations made to the University of Wyoming President’s Impact Fund will support the mental health of our talented students. Mental health directly influences a student’s cognitive functions, concentration, memory, and ability to learn. Students who grapple with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, or other disorders often find it challenging to stay focused, attend classes regularly, or perform to their highest potential.
However, with adequate support and resources, our students can excel in their academic and extracurricular pursuits, which promotes future success in life and careers. Your donations today – no matter the size – will help our students reach their fullest potential.
