About

Please join us in supporting Wyoming's best and brightest students through the Honors College and the High School Institute.

Honors College

The Honors College supports outstanding UW students in their pursuit of excellence. Our students are academically gifted and hungry to make a difference in the world.

In Honors, students get dynamic interdisciplinary courses that explore the major challenges of our times, study abroad classes that expose them to the world, internships, leadership opportunities, independent research or creative projects, attentive advising and career counseling, and co-curricular events like movie nights, book clubs, excursions, and special workshops.

Your donation to Honors goes to one of two funds. Our Honors Program Fund supports scholarships, research supplies, course enhancements, and many excellence initiatives. Our Duncan and Janice Harris Honors Excellence Fund supports study abroad and leadership opportunities while also honoring two of our most beloved past leaders.

Your support helps Honors deliver on our promise of bringing world-class enrichment to UW students. Thank you for helping us provide the margin of excellence that our students treasure!

High School Institute (HSI)

Your gift to the High School Institute will go toward the HSI student scholarship fund, which allows us to reach more students and to offer a richer HSI experience. Scholarships are pivotal, ensuring accessibility for all.

Established in 1985, HSI is a three-week pre-college summer program designed for academically achieving high school students in Wyoming. Over the past 39 years, a total of 3,353 high school students have come to HSI to experience their first taste of college.

Our goal is to provide a self-discovery atmosphere for a variety of students who would relish a challenge or may need a little push to be challenged. The array of activities that they participate in are designed to push the limits of the student as a whole and help them learn more about themselves, clarify their goals, discover new interests, and re-ignite their passion for learning.

With your support, any Wyoming high school student can say “YES” to this life-changing experience.

Thank you for your generosity!
