The English 1010 campaign will invite interested English 1010 course sections to design a short video around the theme "The Top 10 Things About Being a Freshman at UW." We want our donors--presumably friends and families of English 1010 students--to hear from freshmen at this important time in their lives and learn more about their day-to-day lives now that they have started college.
Our aim is less to raise huge dollar amounts than to get freshmen excited to work on a shared project together; to promote a better understanding of what it's like to be a freshman at UW; and to see just how many people we can attract to this fundraising campaign! Donations as little as $1 are encouraged.
The English 1010 class section the receives the most donations (not dollar amount, but total individual donations) will win a pizza party and other fun prizes. Additional proceeds from the campaign will be used to support English 1010 students, faculty and student professional development, and future fundraising efforts in the larger department.
