Staff Senate - The Difference a Buck Makes

Staff Senate's Difference a Buck Makes campaign is focused exclusively on giving back by offering UW staff programs and resources to enrich their lives and make UW the best school and the place to work. 

We believe that if you can give just one "buck"—or more—together, we can make a great difference. We are asking past and present staff, administration, professors, and others to join us in our efforts.

The Staff Senate Health and Wellness Committee wishes to address these areas:

• mental health awareness events, such as giving staff access to literature or the ability to personally speak with someone who can provide information on mental health and counseling in a casual and safe zone,
• dental hygiene and general physical wellness sessions,
• safe space gatherings, a time and place where staff can gather and destress, speak with the ombudsman, HR personal, or even job counselors,
• exploring continuing education options for staff,
• motivational speakers, and
• provide fun outlets for staff on a quarterly basis, like free concerts, movies, or a comedy show.
