Gifts to Chemistry contribute to...
The University of Wyoming Department of Chemistry is asking for the support of our undergraduate and graduate students during Giving Day 2023. The Chemistry program is founded on the belief that a diverse faculty and student body are critical to excellence in education and research. Your gift will help provide the students with an amazing educational and research experience during their time at UW. Your support will go to the following areas.
- Chemistry Department Fund: Enable the department to rapidly target funds for the acquisition of instrumentation, faculty hiring and retention, and research operations.
- Graduate Student Fund: Provides essential fellowships to recruit top graduate students, pay them a living wage, and support their travel to national and international conferences.
- Undergraduate Student Fund: Supports undergraduate students' summer research projects and Chemistry Club activities and supports their travel to local and national conferences.
Last year, 18 donors gave a total of $2,660, which helped us host a graduate research poster session in the spring and supported students through travel and stipend fellowships. This year we are hoping to double the number of donors and reach a goal of 30 donors.
Thank you so much for your support!
