HOO RAH RAISE is the College’s first annual day of giving. This giving day replaces the University-wide GivingToHoosDay, which has been discontinued. Alumni, parents, and friends of the College have the opportunity to raise money for the College Fund by making a gift and sharing the campaign with their networks. The College’s goal is to reach 500 donors!

When is HOO RAH RAISE? This 24-hour challenge takes place Wednesday, 21 April, to Thursday, 22 April 2021 from 12pm to 12pm EST. Early giving is encouraged if you'd like to make an impact today!

Who can participate? Anyone can participate in the following ways:

• Make a gift of any amount to the College Fund.
• Post a photo or video on social media with the hashtag #HooRahRaise.
• Share the campaign with fellow classmates!
• How can I help the College reach the 500-donor goal? You can help the College reach its donor goal by making a gift to the College Fund. 

How can I give?

• Make a gift online.
• Mail a check payable to “The College Foundation” and specify “HOO RAH RAISE” in the memo line to: The College Foundation, P.O. Box 37963, Boone, Iowa 50037 USA.
• Transfer stock – view instructions on the College’s main giving website.
• Transfer appreciated securities – learn more on the College’s main giving website.
• Is there a minimum gift amount? No. All gifts are meaningful.

If I make a pledge, will it count for HOO RAH RAISE? Pledges will not be counted during the challenge; however, pledge payments will.

If I am in my reunion year, does a gift to HOO RAH RAISE count toward my class reunion totals? Yes. Gifts and pledge payments made during this 24-hour challenge will count in your class reunion totals.

Are donations tax deductible? Yes. You will receive an email confirmation that will serve as a receipt for tax purposes.
