Support CAS Internships

For many students, one of the most important and impactful college experiences is an internship in a field they’re considering for a career. But internships can often remain just out of reach—especially for those interested in fields that often lack funding such as nonprofit work, the arts, and the humanities, or for those who don’t already possess the financial resources to take on unpaid work.

Thanks to our amazing donors, students like Grace Morrissey ‘23 have been able to experience “life-changing” internships during their UVM career.

With your help, more students like Grace can root their passions in real-life professional circumstances and learn about the broad range of career possibilities available to them. 

Every year CAS supports around 80 students while they participate in unpaid internships. This past year, students interned at a broad range of organizations, including law offices, newsrooms, nonprofits, art galleries, film studios, museums, and hospitals. 

But those 80 students comprise only about 40% of the total number of students in need. With your help, CAS can get closer to supporting all the students asking for help to pursue unpaid internships.
