About

Support Nursing Education and Training on Giving Day!

This Giving Day, you have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the future of nursing by supporting two critical initiatives at the College of Nursing. With your help, we can address the growing nursing shortage and ensure that our dedicated health care professionals have the training and resources they need to succeed.

Our Goals:

Scholarships:

Scholarships ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 per student are essential to making nursing education more accessible. This Giving Day, we aim to raise enough funds to provide at least four scholarships to future nursing leaders.

Mobile RQI Units for Rural Nurses:

In rural areas like Richfield, our Juvenile Justice nurses face a unique challenge: completing quarterly Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) modules. Due to the lack of nearby university clinics, these nurses must drive long distances to complete the necessary CPR training. We are raising funds to lease mobile RQI units, which cost $3,000 per year, to bring training directly to these nurses. By funding these units, you’ll help reduce the time nurses spend away from their patients and increase access to life-saving training. Our goal is to secure funding for the next three years of mobile unit leases.

Your donation, big or small, can help provide essential scholarships and training for nurses who are vital to the health and safety of our community. With your support, we can make sure that our nurses—no matter where they live—have the tools they need to provide the best care possible.

Why It Matters:

Nurses are the backbone of health care. They are on the frontlines every day, providing care, compassion, and expertise to those in need. Your generosity helps make sure that the next generation of nurses is well-equipped to face the challenges ahead.

On behalf of our students, faculty, clinicians, and staff, thank you for your support. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier future for Utah and beyond.
