Women & Philanthropy aspires to promote University initiatives through investments and grants while building relationships among a community of generous, forward-thinking women. Founded in 2006, Women & Philanthropy has nearly 80 active members consisting of both UT alumni and community members. The group is committed to forging new relationships and building a community of thoughtful, effective philanthropists among women of diverse age, interests and backgrounds.

Women & Philanthropy invites anyone to share in its support of UT through its operations and grant funding program. The organization is participating in the 2018 Day of Giving campaign, Rocket Forward: You Launch Lives. Any donation amount that supporters would like to give via the Women & Philanthropy Operating Fund is welcome. Through an unwavering commitment to The University of Toledo, Women & Philanthropy members work to empower and educate women in philanthropic activities through networking and leadership opportunities.

Additionally, new members are welcome. For more information about joining Women & Philanthropy, please call Jodi Farschman at The University of Toledo Foundation, 419-530-2646.

Since 2006, Women & Philanthropy has provided nearly $500,000 to 19 interesting and innovative projects such as the Genetic Analysis Instrumentation Center.

Depending on one’s membership level, members of our giving circle pledge either $500 or $1,000 per year to a donor-designated fund at The University of Toledo Foundation. All member donations are deposited into a pooled fund. At the end of the year, Women & Philanthropy presents grants to a University program or program(s) based on a member vote. In addition to the philanthropic work done by the circle, members enjoy special programming and fellowship.
