University of St. Thomas Club Dance Team 2023 Fundraiser

Our club’s mission is to create an inclusive, stress-free environment for dancers to continue dancing or for new dancers to start their dance journey. 

The main project that we are seeking to fund is our semester showcase, in which all of our teams and small groups have the opportunity to perform the dances they have been working on throughout the semester in front of family and friends. 

We are seeking funding for the semester showcase because hosting it is expensive, as it requires us to rent a stage, lighting, and a sound system. In an effort to keep dues low and remain an accessible and inclusive club, we rely on the generosity of others to help fund the showcase. 

The semester showcase is the lone opportunity for our dancers to perform the dances we have spent many hours learning and practicing. It is what we work toward for the entire season, so it is an exciting and important event for our club. 

Admission to the summer showcase is free, so people from around the St. Thomas community can attend and enjoy the talents of a large variety of dancers of various skill levels. The showcase also allows the community to try something new if they have not attended a dance performance before. This inclusive, judgment-free environment promotes one of our core values: pushing yourself outside your comfort zone.
