About

Help send our top boats to compete in the Dad Vails Regatta in Philadelphia, the biggest collegiate regatta in America! Any and all donations will help offset the cost of travel to this regatta, including airfare, lodging, rental vehicles, and entry fees. This regatta is one of the most prestigious regattas in collegiate rowing and we are seeking to showcase our abilities on a national stage. Last year we were able to send 2 boats, one of which, the men’s 2x, placed third. We are seeking to outperform ourselves again and send 4 boats, the men's varsity 4+, men’s varsity 2x, men’s novice 4+, and the women’s varsity 2x. We believe that we can be competitive in all of these categories and take home some podiums! This will be something that we bring back to Minnesota with us and promote to the Minnesota rowing community, which can help us attract more rowers, and continue to build the strength of the club!

Your support will help cover flights for all members and coaches attending the regatta in Philadelphia. This will help the club immensely and make this regatta happen!

Thank you and Roll, Toms!

A Message from Tyler Burkum '23

"I can without a doubt say that joining and being involved with this team for the past 4 years has been the best decision I have made while at college. Being involved as an athlete and as a board member has taught me so much not only about the sport, but how to be a competitor, teammate, and above all a friend to all, especially when it really matters. I have met people on this team that I know will be friends for years to come, and the experiences we have had together whether it be racing, practicing, or just hanging out is what will make everything worth it - especially given the obstacles we have faced through the COVID years. As a senior I could not be more excited to race at Dad Vails. I cannot think of a better way to end an era of something I really loved, and to do it with some of my best friends makes it all that much better."
