May 24 marks the anniversary of the naming of the University of Southern Maine and we're celebrating with a Day of Giving in support of the Student Emergency Fund.
Since March 2020, the Student Emergency Fund has helped more than 400 students. The Fund was created to address short-term financial emergencies our most vulnerable students are currently facing including health emergencies, job loss, and safety-related needs. Most importantly, the fund has allowed students to remain in school, focus on their education, and graduate.
The Student Emergency Fund is currently depleted and the need is more urgent than ever. We need your help to replenish it. Giving to the Student Emergency Fund is simply the greatest impact you can have on a student's life. The good news is, your impact will be doubled, thanks to a generous $10,000 matching gift from USM Board of Visitors member, Roxane Cole.
Join us today for our Day of Giving to support the critically important Student Emergency Fund.
Hi Everyone!
Thanks to all of your amazing support, we've already unlocked the $10,000 matching challenge! We're still sprinting forward until 11:59pm EST tonight so don't worry if you haven't given yet. We are so grateful for your help in refilling the Student Emergency Fund! Your donations will have an important impact on hundreds of students who need it most.
Thank you to all those in our USM community!
Cheers,
The USM Foundation
