The USM Music Legacy Campaign

This campaign ended on December 31, 2017, but you can still make a gift to University of Southern Maine by clicking here!

Dear alums and friends of music:

USM has created two new School of Music scholarships* named to honor two of our legendary music professors, Dr. Peter Martin and Dr. Robert Russell.

We’re working hard this fall to raise the $40,000 needed ($20,000 for each fund) to ensure both scholarships become fully endowed. But we've only got until December 31st to make this happen. That's why we need YOU! One of the ways you can support USM’s music program is by donating any amount to either (or both!) of these scholarship funds before the end of December to honor these two great educators.

As the School of Music grows, one of our biggest priorities is to ensure that the quality music education we offer remains accessible to deserving students whose means are limited but whose talent and ambitions are limitless. Supporting these two funds and the legacy of these two outstanding music educators, is one way you can help USM do that.

With gratitude,

Alan Kaschub '91

Director, USM School of Music

* Your gift will provide scholarship support to USM music majors. The intent is for both scholarship funds to become permanently endowed. However, if the total raised to either fund does not reach $20,000 in gifts or pledges by December 31, 2017, the Fund will be a non-endowed fund, with the purpose stated above and expended over several years.
