Husky Grads of 2019: Class Gift Campaign

264% of $2,019 goal
This campaign ended on May 09, 2019, but you can still make a gift to University of Southern Maine by clicking here!

The USM 2019 graduating class is paying it forward by leaving a class gift that will benefit fellow Huskies for years to come. Every dollar raised will go the the new Student Emergency Fund, which helps students who face unforeseen expenses that could cause them to drop out or postpone their studies.

The challenge: Raise $2,019 for the Student Emergency Fund to unlock a $20,000 Matching Gift from Martin’s Point Health Care!

Why the Student Emergency Fund Matters

  • Every year we see USM students give up or postpone their studies because of unforeseen crises – brakes that go, medical emergencies, a government shutdown.
  • This fund is designed to help those students get through a tough time and stay in school.

A New Challenge for the Class of 2019

Husky Grads! If we raise $5,000, we'll get to see President Cummings spray paint his hair blue and gold at the President's Class of 2019 Champagne Reception on May 9. We hit our original goal of $2,019 in record time, now let's reach our new goal!

We did it!

Wow. In just over one week, the Class of 2019 met our goal of raising $2,019 for the Student Emergency Fund!

But we're not stopping now.

This is such an important cause, and it gives us the chance to leave a legacy behind at USM. We've already raised more than $2,000 that will go directly to fellow students, and we've unlocked a $20,000 matching gift from Martin's Point Health Care!

So, now, we'd like to raise another $2,019! We'll continue to fill up this fund so when students face financial emergencies, they can get a little boost and stay in school. Let's keep this going!
