Access to Education Challenge
At USM, financial aid makes college possible for 85% of our full-time students and nearly half rely on federal Pell grants to afford tuition. Yet the door is closed to many students who aren't eligible for any state or federal aid. These hardworking students, including new Mainers, asylum seekers and others, have so much to offer our university, our community and our state - and we think they deserve a chance to pursue their college dreams. That's why we created the Access to Education Scholarship.
This month, our employer partner MEMIC is supporting the Access to Education Scholarship with a challenge to our community: MEMIC will match your scholarship gift dollar-for-dollar up to $20,000 - doubling the impact of your generosity!
There are Three Easy Ways to Give to the Access to Education Scholarship:
- Give online on this campaign page
- By mail – checks made out to: USM Foundation, PO Box 9300, Portland, ME 04104-9300
- Call the USM Foundation at (207) 780-4104
The Access to Education Scholarship keeps the University of Everyone accessible to all. Thank you for helping us "make the match."
