Support the HyFlex Innovative Nursing Fund for Accessible Education on Torero Tuesday
The HyFlex program offers a versatile and innovative learning structure designed to address the current crisis in nursing and primary care provider shortages. It provides students with three flexible learning options:
1- Face-to-Face Live: Traditional classroom settings where students and instructors interact in person.
2- Online Livestream: Real-time distance learning that allows students to join live sessions remotely.
3- Online Asynchronous: Students learn at their own pace through pre-recorded lectures and course materials available online.
This program extends the reach of USD's high-quality education to nurses who are unable to attend classes physically- due to living outside of San Diego County or in rural communities that lack access to advanced nursing education. This new program ensures these nurses receive the same level of advanced nursing education and expertise despite geographical limitations, professional obligations, and current family role responsibilities.
