First Generation students are the first of their family to attend and graduate from a four-year university. USD is committed to fostering an inclusive culture and learning environment where students feel welcome and encouraged to succeed with a full sense of belonging.

Your dedication to the Hahn School of Nursing's efforts to make a nursing education accessible to all helps to enrich the environment for all students, including those who are the first in their families to pursue a graduate education.
Gifts made to this cause help the Hahn School of Nursing participate in the Nelson-Andrews Challenge, which makes the School of Nursing eligible for $10,000 in bonus funding. When the School of Nursing is one of the first 4 academic units to raise $5,000 in support of first generation graduate school scholarships, these bonus funds will be awarded!
