This will come as a real surprise, but our 1,250th donor and our final donor of Logger Day Challenge 2024 will also receive Puget Sound Swag Bags!

Paige Shinall ’25 and Gwen Lindberg ’25 worked at Mount Rainier National Park in Washington as interns for the park's Imminent Threats program. This recently established internship will provide Loggers with an opportunity to get hands-on experience conducting research in a complex and vast natural setting. Programs like this aren't stand-alone. At Puget Sound we are always moving forward, rising to meet the needs of a changing world to deliver on our mission.

What a great day to be on campus! From Grizz decorating to Hatchet Throwing to "Window" Decorating, the Logger spirit is palpable today! Shoutout to everyone who participated and made the day's festivities and a success and shoutout to the donors, near and far, who make days like this what they are!

Puget Sound graduates go out into the world as leaders, collaborators, advocates, innovators, and mentors. They have an impact well beyond the classroom and the Logger community, changing the world and shaping the future.

In the fall we announced the newly formed Department of Environmental Studies & Sciences (ESS), which will launch in fall 2024! This department will allow students to experience and study the environment through an interdisciplinary approach that combines natural sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities. Our faculty are poised to ensure that ESS is stewarded in Puget Sound’s pioneering spirit.

No matter the major, Puget Sound students graduate with the skills and the knowledge to navigate a changing world.

Abby Steward '25 spent the summer exploring Epiphytes of Olympic National Park: getting hands-on experience, doing graduate school level research, and being mentored by Professor Woods. Today and every day, you are supporting experiences like Abby's. Experiences and an education that transcends the classroom. Students who go on to be leaders, collaborators, advocates, innovators, and mentors.
