At UNCW, our students, their education and their accompanying Seahawk experiences are our top priorities.
While every Seahawk’s journey is different, they all require support. Gifts help us fulfill that promise. Here’s how:
The UNCW Fund helps UNCW evolve and change to support our students better. These funds have created opportunities for students to study abroad and attend national conferences, helped faculty modernize their teaching practices and supported new degree programs designed to meet the workforce needs of southeastern North Carolina.
Gifts to the Parent Opportunity Fund create programs that help students find a sense of belonging, establish lifelong healthy habits and develop leadership skills, all while keeping them safe and engaged outside the classroom.
Randall Library represents the hub of learning on campus. With students increasingly expected to work collaboratively, and employers expecting information literacy and technology fluency from employees, the library is vital for our thriving campus. In addition, librarians can teach faculty new ways to bring technology, such as virtual reality and 3-D prototyping, into the classroom.
The UNCW Student Emergency Fund supports students who face unexpected hardships like a parent’s medical diagnosis, a flooded car after a hurricane or unemployment during a global pandemic – all of which could impede their educational pursuits. One-time support during a time of great stress can often be the difference between a student withdrawing or continuing their enrollment.
Seahawks, we did it!

He pledges to donate $10 to the UNCW Fund for every additional alum who makes a gift during Seahawks Give, up to $2,500.
