Gifts to Military Affairs contribute to...
When Wilmington College opened its doors in 1947, seventy-five percent of students were World War II veterans. UNCW now proudly serves over 2,200 military-affiliated students.
From earning the Military Times Best for Vets designation from 2017-20 to being on the U.S. News & World Report's list of Best Online Bachelor's Programs for Veterans, UNCW's commitment to military-affiliated students continues to earn national recognition.
The Office of Military Affairs now operates out Veterans Hall to better serve our military-affiliated students. The space, which opened in 2020, features a larger lounge area with a full kitchen, a quiet study room, a training room and more.
Your gift to Military Affairs will provide funding for:
- Scholarships for active service members, veterans and their families
- Programs and services that help military-affiliated students transition to civilian life
- Events that support the military-affiliated community at UNCW and in the surrounding area
