In just 24 hours, 1,052 change-makers pledged $261,175 in support of our campus, community, and students. This includes 201 first-time gifts!
Here are some fun facts about all the generosity we saw on April 17.
- The very first gift came in at 2:24 am EST; the very last gift came in at 11:52 pm EST.
- The Athletics Association Weight Room Renovation Project was our most popular fund, and the Golden Ticket was found by history major Hayley Kintz '24 who asked for the corresponding $1,000 gift to be pledged to Ramsey Library.
- And over 400 alumni paid it forward by making a gift to support current students.
Thank you again for being the reason our students never have to ask, "What if?" Because of your generosity on April 17, they get to ask, "What's next?" Go, Bulldogs!

Because Hayley found our Golden Ticket, she asked our Vice Chancellor of Advancement Kirk Swenson to pledge his $1,000 Give UNC Asheville gift to our dearly beloved Ramsey Library! Thank you so much, Kirk, and congrats, Hayley!
Starting this Monday, our Bulldogs have been celebrating Student Philanthropy Week! So far they've written donor thank-you cards to folks who made their Give UNC Asheville gifts early and stopped by Highsmith to get the "tea" ☕ on philanthropy and all that our donors make possible on campus!
Special shout out as well to our Career Center Fashion Show, which happened on Tuesday and featured career-ready outfits (many of these clothes were also donated!).
