After almost four decades serving the student-athletes at UMass Lowell, Head Athletic Trainor Artie Poitras has retired.  Artie worked most closely with the hockey and cross country/ track and field programs, but under his leadership, the athletic healthcare office has provided top rate healthcare to generations of Chiefs and River Hawks.

In tribute to the legacy Artie left, we are looking to raise $25,000 to name the training rooms at Costello Athletic Center and The Tsongas Center after the legendary head trainer.

All gifts will directly support student-athlete through much-needed improvements to the healthcare facilities.  These improvements include a professional and contact-free check-in area and new hot and cold tubs for treatment.
