Homecoming 2024 Virtual Celebration

Register today to attend the UMGC Homecoming 2024 Virtual Celebration on Thursday, October 10 from
7 – 9 p.m. EDT in the Metaverse. Join us online for a fun evening, including great moments to network with your classmates and alum, while making new connections! 

What is the Metaverse? It is an immersive 3D virtual experience where you can join a shared space using an avatar through a computer.   

During this virtual event, you will be able to: 
 

• Hear featured remarks from UMGC President, Gregory Fowler, PhD. 
• Expand your professional network sharing creativity and inspiration in the “Imagination Networking Lounge." 
• Visit the new UMGC Homecoming Showcase featuring fellow students and graduates in the Metaverse. 
• Complete your virtual quest in the Metaverse to receive UMGC swag. 
• Enjoy live DJ music and fun avatar dancing in the Homecoming Celebration Zone. 
• Learn about UMGC community benefits, exclusive career resources, and engaging opportunities to stay connected year-round!

If you would like to give a donation during your registration, the funds received will benefit the UMGC Student Aid for Emergency Relief Fund (SAFER) providing direct aid to students worldwide experiencing financial hardship related to an unforeseen emergency. 

During the Homecoming 2024 Virtual Celebration, hear remarks from 

Gregory W. Fowler, PhD, became the seventh president of UMGC on January 4, 2021. A nationally recognized scholar and leader in developing innovative learning models and experiences for adult and nontraditional populations he has served on the leadership teams that built what are now the two largest universities in America - both of which serve nontraditional students in nontraditional ways.
