In honor of UMGC celebrating its 75th anniversary of providing education to service members and their families in Europe, register today to attend the Homecoming 2024 Germany Celebration on Friday, 18 October from 1730-2300 CEST. Join us in person for an adult only reception at the Heidelberg Castle, in Heidelberg, Germany for a fun evening filled with great opportunities to network with your fellow classmates and alumni while making new connections!
This cocktail-style evening reception will be an opportunity to:
- Hear remarks from UMGC President, Gregory Fowler, PhD, and university leaders
- Expand your professional network by connecting with fellow students and graduates
- Embrace and ignite your imagination with your global UMGC community
- Participate in UMGC gear giveaways
- Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, music and more; a cash bar will be available

If you would like to give a donation during your registration, the funds received will benefit the UMGC Student Aid for Emergency Relief Fund (SAFER) providing direct aid to students worldwide experiencing financial hardship related to an unforeseen emergency.
During the Homecoming 2024 Germany Celebration, hear remarks from
Gregory W. Fowler, PhD, became the seventh president of UMGC on January 4, 2021. A nationally recognized scholar and leader in developing innovative learning models and experiences for adult and nontraditional populations he has served on the leadership teams that built what are now the two largest universities in America - both of which serve nontraditional students in nontraditional ways.
Ms. Patricia “Trish” Coopersmith is the vice president and director of UMGC Europe and oversees the headquarters team in Kaiserslautern, Germany, as well as field teams in approximately 50 locations in 18 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Ms. Coopersmith manages two large U.S. military contracts, approximately 450 staff and faculty, and a significant operating budget. Her priorities for the division are Students, Enrollments, and Teamwork. Trish has over 30 years of business and advisory experience in academic, government, and corporate environments as an engineer, management consultant, adjunct professor, and higher education leader.
Dr. Patricia “PJ” Jameson is responsible for supervising the Europe headquarters department heads, ensuring efficient operations, policy review/development, and related process improvements. Dr. Jameson has over 30 years of experience at UMGC Europe in multiple field and leadership roles and has earned numerous awards and commendations for her work and community engagement. She has taught business and behavioral science courses for UMGC since 2002.
