The goals of the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are to recruit more Native/Indigenous students to DU and to develop Indigenous-specific cultural programming to provide an enriching and inclusive environment for all students, but especially Native/Indigenous students.
Your support ensures that DU Native/Indigenous students and the broader DU community can fully experience Native American Heritage Month, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and the annual New Beginnings Pow Wow on the DU campus.
As part of Giving Tuesday, DEI is asking for your support of either the Native American Support Fund or the PowWow/Blanket Wrapping Gift Fund. The Native American Support Fund provides direct support and emergency services to Native American students at the University of Denver, while the PowWow/Blanket Wrapping Fund provides funds for cultural events on campus, centering the successes of our Native and Indigenous students and community.
As a contributor, your funds help Native/Indigenous students: Meet financial costs associated with attending DU, Complete coursework toward either undergraduate or graduate degrees, Attend national conferences for professional development and Strengthen local partnerships with other Native organizations and schools within Colorado and throughout the nation. Receive a blanket culminating their academic career at DU.
Your gift, small or large, positively impacts our entire DU Native community by strengthening essential support programs for them.
Your donation will contribute to the following:
- $5 access to Native Heritage Month Advocates

- $50 empowers a New Beginnings Pow Wow Champion
