In engineering and computer science, there can be no separation between knowing and doing. In a world where technology and careers are changing faster than schools can adapt, we must prepare students to be continuous learners with both technical and cultural fluency and deep commitment to ethical leadership.
Our unrelenting focus on hands-on experience and lifelong learning is the hallmark of a Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science education. We are committed to supporting students from diverse backgrounds, facilitating faculty and alumni mentorships, and retaining small class sizes that provide a nurturing environment.
Your gifts help the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science train the next generation of ethical engineers and computer scientists ready to lead in a rapidly changing world.
Gifts to the Dean’s Strategic Initiative Fund provide flexible funding to innovate in real time and respond to immediate needs in an agile, fast-paced field. Among other things, the Dean’s Fund has supported student travel or emergency aid, augmented internship stipends to allow students to participate regardless of financial need, seeded innovative programs in the college and matched investments to help secure competitive grants for faculty research.
Your support of students through the E-STEM Program Fund allows us to nurture the strengths of incoming undergraduates from historically underrepresented backgrounds who elect to major in STEM subjects, helping them successfully transition to the college environment and navigate STEM paths at DU.
