At the James C. Kennedy Mountain Campus at DU, all students immerse themselves in the holistic approach to education that sets DU apart: the 4D Experience. The four integrated dimensions—advancing intellectual growth, exploring character, promoting well-being, and pursuing lives and careers of purpose—will guide every program and activity in the mountains, just as they do on our city campus. Set amidst 724 acres and adjacent to the Roosevelt National Forest, the Kennedy Mountain Campus is for the entire DU community and all students, providing an opportunity to engage with this space throughout their time at DU.
On 1DAY4DU, join the Mile Makers Fund to make a lasting impact and leave your footprint on the Kennedy Mountain Campus. The Mile Makers Fund helps develop, maintain, and support the trail system and its volunteers across the 724-acre property. One person – one supporter – can make miles of difference.
A $100 gift trains a student trail crew leader in CPR/First Aid/AED Training.
A $250 gift equips two volunteer student crew members with the needed tools.
A $500 gift allows us to build 5 feet of boardwalk in designated trail areas.
A $1,000 gift allows us to take care of the gnarly rock work in designated trail areas.
A $5,000 gift allows us to build a new trail section at the Kennedy Mountain Campus.
A $10,000 gift allows us to build best-in-class accessible trail sections.
By donating to the Mile Makers Fund on 1DAY4DU, you're not just supporting a cause; you're directly impacting the experiences of DU students. Donate on 1DAY4DU to the Mile Makers Fund and help DU students enjoy opportunities to learn, connect with others, and discover the unique role they play in building a stronger, better future for all!
