This campaign is now closed. To make a donation to UNC PAWS, please visit our website. Thank you for your support!
UNC PAWS is a Personal Support Dog (PSD) program that provides therapeutic benefit to our clients and has become a key part of the recovery process for many suffering from mental illness. The program rescues dogs from local shelters and works with a nonprofit that supervises inmates who train the dogs to become PSDs.
Once trained, the dogs are placed in a forever-home with a carefully screened client in order to provide companionship and support. Having a Personal Support Dog can improve physical and mental health, as well as relief from depression, anxiety and isolation.
Unfortunately, if UNC PAWS is unable to raise $50,000 by June 30, the program will be suspended.
You can help us save UNC PAWS and, in turn, PAWS can save dogs from shelters and give them a new life as Personal Support Dogs for people in need.

With just over one week out, we are 75% of our goal. So close!!
Thank you for all you've done so far!
With about two weeks left, you can help us raise another $25,000 to reach our goal.
Can you take 5 minutes today to get us to the finish line?
How you can help:
- Like the UNC PAWS Facebook page and share a #UNCPAWS post from our page.
- Personally ask 3 friends to donate the same amount that you generously gave.
Thank you so much! Let’s keep up the energy until June 30!

"Through the dogs, people have a chance to do something meaningful with their day. To get out of the house, to interact with other people. To become a part of the community again."
