A Decade of Change
Two national events in the 1960s that certainly impacted Trinity were the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the Vietnam War.
On November 22, 1963, Msgr. Steinhauser announced to a shocked school that the President had been shot in Dallas, Texas. Ken Combs was teaching that day and recalled how the announcement stunned everyone. “You couldn’t hear anything else for quite some time. It was just very, very quiet.”

Trinity kicked off its tenth annual 24-hour day of giving at midnight on November 28. Over the next 24 hours, Trinity posted #ROCKSGive themed messages and videos on the school’s social media sites to generate awareness and encourage the Trinity family to support the Trinity Annual Fund. Once again, the Trinity family stepped up in a very big way and set a new record for this event!
The Trinity Annual Fund helps make the Trinity experience accessible to all students by providing tuition assistance to families with a demonstrated need. 100 percent of all gifts to the Trinity Annual Fund go to need based financial aid. THANK YOUfor your gift and for being ALL IN, ALL TRINITY!
