Nursing students are always eager for clinical skills practice, but the COVID-19 pandemic has made getting this hands-on experience even more challenging.
The School of Nursing hopes to expand its use of Virtual Reality technology. Not only will additional equipment mean more students have the opportunity to use it, but the software will ensure our students are able to prepare for and complete their clinical requirements on time. These resources will also advance the research of Ph.D. candidate Professor Cassandra Barrow as she looks at the opportunity to integrate virtual reality techniques into nursing curriculum.
This will also mark the start of a partnership with the Tandy School of Computer Science, as they collaborate with the School of Nursing to develop groundbreaking virtual reality nursing education software.
Your gift will support students today and lay the foundation for even more innovative teaching techniques in the years to come. Your generosity will also be amplified by Mary Tenney Ogle BSN โ75, who has offered to match the first $2,500 in support for this project.
