The CommunityCare Clinics (CCC) are free clinics that serve the greater Toledo community. We are staffed by volunteer students across The University of Toledo, including students from the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy; and, overseen by licensed practitioners. Our student volunteers and healthcare providers are committed to providing excellent care to the members of the community.
Our clinics are open to the public twice a week and we travel remotely an additional day, to serve populations in Toledo facing homelessness or who are otherwise unable to attend the stationary clinic. Through care provided in our clinic settings, CCC is able to provide free healthcare and medical prescriptions for over 4,000 patients in the Toledo area.
The CommunityCare Clinic was one of the only student-run clinics in America that administered COVID-19 vaccines. From February to December 2021, we vaccinated a total of 6,992 patients! Not only are we getting people protected against COVID-19, but we are trying to get these life-saving vaccinations to the patients that need them most. CCC is committed to promoting equity in the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. Our vaccination events are focused on racial minorities and socioeconomically disadvantaged patient populations that have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic and yet experience more barriers to accessing the vaccine. We want to ensure that no patient is left behind!
Please consider a gift of $25, $50, $100, or any amount to help us continue our mission of providing much-needed healthcare. Your help is critical in our mission to keep our community as safe and healthy as possible during these challenging times.
Thanks for your support!
