Every Rocket is a STAR

Every Rocket is a STAR: A Mental Health Initiative is aimed to promote mental health and well-being on the University of Toledo campus with particular attention to students. 

The University Counseling Center (UCC), along with strategic partners engage in outreach and prevention activities such as tabling, interactive activities, presentations and trainings for students to encourage their well-being, coping, and healing from distress. By raising funds for operations, the UCC can continue to put resources and tools in every students hand by offering the free smartphone app Stressbusters, self-guided workbooks and self-help kits, as well as 24/7 emergency services. 

This campaign aims to highlight the importance of mental health resources on campus, destigmatize mental health by including it in the conversation of student overall well-being, and promote suicide prevention resources such as 988. UCC provides direct services to over 800 students per year as well as engagement of over 10% of the student population in workshops, presentations, and events.
