A Digital Archive for The New Historia
The New Historia is a global scholarly network and archive that uses unique research techniques and emerging technology to unearth groundbreaking women of the past—and educate young women of the future.
We need $25,000 to fund the first phase of development for an interactive digital archive.
This living digital archive will be the foundation for a comprehensive collection of women’s stories that will display each in a new way; allowing us to reframe figures in historical context, better understand fields of influence, and ultimately provide new lessons from the past to help change the future.
Founded by Gina Luria Walker, professor of women’s studies at The New School, this project brings together social scientists, historian, and interactive designers across the university. Donations support this groundbreaking work, and they are critical to reaching our goal of publishing our first 400 female biographies.
Please donate and share this campaign today.
