After reaching our goal of securing 979 gifts, over 350 additional donors helped us achieve record-setting results by raising more gifts this year than any other Day of Giving! The enthusiasm continues, and we can't thank our generous and devoted community of alumni, current parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty & staff, students, and friends enough for giving to what they love about Hotchkiss.
We are especially grateful to everyone who helped to make the day such a huge success - donors, volunteers, and advocates. Every gift to Hotchkiss has an impact on each student, faculty, and staff member, and we couldn't do it without your support!
Please stay tuned to the Hotchkiss website for the final results.
With immense gratitude, The Hotchkiss Fund Team
On February 24, Hotchkiss alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends around
the world will come together to show they love Hotchkiss by celebrating the 4th
annual Day of Giving. The goal is to secure 979 gifts to represent each one of
our amazing students, faculty, and staff, who demonstrate their love of Hotchkiss
through their commitment and hard work each and every day.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
Now more than ever, your support helps to sustain the extraordinary education and transformative experience that Hotchkiss students have engaged in for 129 years. By designating your gift to The Hotchkiss Fund in alignment with your interest in areas like the Arts, Athletics, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, or Faculty & Staff development, to name a few, your support will contribute to a lasting legacy and change the lives of students, support the careers of faculty and staff, and continue the traditions of our unparalleled School.
THE LOVE YOUR SCHOOL CHALLENGE: We are thrilled to announce that this year's Day of Giving includes a challenge from a group of generous donors! Every 100 gifts received during the 2021 Day of Giving will "unlock" $25,000 up to $175,000 for Hotchkiss. Our students, faculty, and staff need your help to take advantage of this incredible offer.
FOR CLASS OF 2021 PARENTS: Today is a perfect day to support the Class of 2021 Senior Parents Gift! This is a special campaign to fund both new and upgraded spaces in the Mars Athletic Center while providing a permanent tribute to the wonderful Class of 2021. Two anonymous Senior Families have offered a challenge gift of $75,000 if we can achieve 60% parent participation from the Class of 2021 parents. This would require 31 Senior Parents to make a gift today. For more information, please click on the "Class of 2021 Senior Parent Gift" image above.
FOR THE CLASS OF 1967 ROWING CHALLENGE: A member of the Class of 1967, who requests anonymity, has issued a challenge to his classmates. To honor the late Bill Elfers '67, if members of the Class of '67 raise $20,000 through gifts to The Hotchkiss Fund to benefit the Rowing Program, the donor will contribute an additional $20,000! A combined gift of $40,000 will be a touching tribute and have a positive impact on this young program. More details can be found by clicking the "Class of 1967 Rowing Challenge" image above.
FOR THE CLASS OF 1994 DEI CHALLENGE: Your gift will have an incredible impact! A group of anonymous classmates in the Class of 1994 has challenged the Class to raise $20,000 in support of anti-bias training for faculty, staff, and students at Hotchkiss. By reaching that goal, these 1994 donors will contribute $110,000 to the Walter Crain Fellowship Program. Click on the "Class of 1994 DEI Challenge" image above to learn more!
FOR LEAD & CLASS AGENTS: Sue Green Roberson '87, president of The Hotchkiss Fund, promises that 2021 will be the year THF achieves 100% participation from its volunteers. To help reach that goal in record time, for every 10 volunteers who fulfill their promises to support The Hotchkiss Fund by making their first gift of the fiscal year today, Sue will contribute $1,000 to the Fund, up to $10,000! A gift of any amount from 100 Lead & Class Agents will secure this challenge and benefit the School!

Thank you to everyone who has given to what they love so far today! You have helped us unlock the full $175,000 awards from the LOVE YOUR SCHOOL match!
As a special thank you, The Hotchkiss Fund team will give a $50 Campus Store gift certificate to every 100th donor throughout the day! If we reach our goal of 979 donors, nine lucky donors will have extra incentive to refresh their Hotchkiss wardrobes!
