Hello Everyone!
Welcome to James R. Ludlow School's Growing Minds Meet Growing Gardens Campaign!
Why should our students only learn about agriculture when they're at the farm or participating in after school clubs? This was our burning question.
In order to expose our students to the fastest growing industry in the United States and provide them with first-hand experience, we would like to bring an agricultural STEM lab and an outdoor learning center to Ludlow School. Students will be able to hatch butterflies and moths, incubate chicken eggs, and engage in hydroponics.
In our outdoor learning center, students will grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs. With over 25% of Philadelphian students experiencing food insecurity, by giving students direct access to fresh produce, we hope to end the cycle of our students having to choose processed foods over healthy fruits and vegetables and teach them how to grow their own gardens before they graduate from Ludlow!
Thank you for all your support!
*If we do not meet our fundraising goal, we will use these funds to support this or another vital need at our school!
