Girls' High DASH Studio

The Philadelphia High School for Girls hosts the DASH (Destined to Achieve Successful Heights) Program on our campus. We are also the home of a PSTV (Public School Television) Media Hub. Additional computers and software will allow us to offer the program to more students. In addition, we will be able to fully integrate music making and other forms of digital media, as was our original goal when we applied for both programs.

Both DASH and PSTV have created content for us that supports and encourages young women, especially young women of color, as they learn about fields in which they are historically underrepresented. We look forward to being able to fully implement the program.

Our girls have worked hard to renovate an area for the equipment we have, and we have designated space for the additional materials. The students are excited about, and committed to, the program. Your donation can help us continue to expand our program offerings as we work to meet the needs and requirements of 21st Century media creators and consumers.
